"In an interview on Al Arabiya, Dr. Walid Phares said it would be a strategic mistake for the Erdogan Government in Turkey to invade North East Syria and fight against US ally, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). This would inflame a major conflict between Turkish and mostly Kurdish forces inside Syria and perhaps inside Turkey.
