Dr Walid Phares told Fox Business Channel that the US needs to build large coalitions of many countries to pressure China on North Korea"
Phares said "the Administration was able to mount a coalition of more than 120 countries at the UN to work on reforms. China has significant financial interests worldwide, and it will act stronger and faster if it is asked by all these countries to act on North Korea."
Phares added that "while we would be working on China, we also need to work with our Asian allies like Japan and South Korea to create a real deterrent against North Korea. If the US shows more resolve along with its allies and take measures in the areas close to Chinese sphere of influence, it would encourage China to move."
