In an interview with Fox Business Channel Dr Walid Phares asked: "Which forces will be given ISIS' positions in Syria after Turkish forces would remove them? Will it be the Muslim Brotherhood?"

Phares said "if Turkey move deeper in Syria it will have to remit the positions seized from ISIS to militias, and most likely the Brotherhood linked groups. Another problem could emerge as the US is backing Turkish advances from the air while the US has positions inside the Kurdish zones. We know President Erdogan wants to push back against the Kurdish units the US is working with. So how will the Obama Administration be on both sides of the conflict?"
