Dr Walid Phares was interviewed on Fox News about "the multiple scenarios where US military could be deployed and the parameters it would go under."
Phares argued that "there will be multiple US military plans by DoD to interact with the diplomatic and intelligence plans and final outcome will be decided by the White House." He added that "what seems to have been natural outcome, that is to have Arab allies helping, was blocked by the Obama Administration for six years. Now is the time for change." He said "there are three potential safe zones for now in Syria; one is in the north west, one is in the north east and one is in the south. But Iran would oppose all three"
