In an interview with Fox Business Channel, Dr Walid Phares said: "Syrian refugees are being manipulated for political reasons> They are being shuttled overseas while all what they wanted was to go home, to a secure area, not being uprooted from Syria."

In an interview with Fox Business Channel, Dr Walid Phares said: "Syrian refugees are being manipulated for political reasons> They are being shuttled overseas while all what they wanted was to go home, to a secure area, not being uprooted from Syria."
Phares, a foreign policy advisor to Presidential candidate Donald Trump added that "by removing these tens of thousands of Syrian refugees and sending them via the Aegean sea to Greece and Europe, Syria is being emptied from its Sunni population." He noted that the "incidents in Europe between migrants and local nationals are a product of a disoriented and chaotic policy which is dealing with mass migration, shattering the integration process."
Phares explained that he briefed Mr Trump and Dr Carson about the crisis of Syrian refugees back in the fall and that "Mr Trump understood the challenges and is ready to develop a much more efficient and humane solution for them."
"I had testified to a panel at the European Parliament this winter and we had Syrian NGOs with us. They told the lawmakers clearly that their people wanted to go home to a secure area. Why and who is transferring these refugees away from their homeland"?
