Commenting on President Obama's remarks in Iowa this afternoon, Dr Walid Phares, the author of 'The Coming Revolution: Struggle for Freedom in the Middle East' said "killing Osama Bin Laden was an act of justice accomplished by the United States against a terrorist. It was the duty of any sitting president to perform it."

Commenting on President Obama's remarks in Iowa this afternoon, Dr Walid Phares, the author of 'The Coming Revolution: Struggle for Freedom in the Middle East' said "killing Osama Bin Laden was an act of justice accomplished by the United States against a terrorist. It was the duty of any sitting president to perform it." Phares, who serves as a special advisor on foreign policy and national security to Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney, added, "but killing Bin Laden doesn't mean that the Obama Administration was successful in Afghanistan or that the war was won against the Taliban. Well know that the Taliban are roaming the country while waiting for Obama's withdrawal from that country."

He added, "killing Bin Laden is separate from winning the war in Afghanistan." Phares said "another failure in foreign policy was Iran, which regime is threatening the Gulf and penetrating Iraq. Worse, the Obama Administration failed to address the crisis in Syria despite the massacres taking place in that country."
